Support Hurricane Victims

Climate change makes hurricanes worse, and the survivors need a helping hand more than ever.

This hurricane season has been unprecedented, as September became the most active month for hurricane activity ever recorded. Communities all along the coasts of the Atlantic, Caribbean and the Gulf have been battered, and people have suffered from devastating losses.

This week’s action is about recognizing and helping these victims of warming-fueled hurricanes in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Florida and Texas. If you donate through One American Appeal, an effort backed by all the former U.S. Presidents still living, you can select which region you would like your donation to go towards.

We know it’s not possible for everyone to give, and that’s OK. If you can’t donate yourself, consider sharing a link to One American Appeal or another disaster relief charity with your friends and family. You never know who you might inspire to do good.
