Oppose More Methane Pollution

Submit a public comment to the Bureau of Land Management opposing the rollback of methane regulations on public lands.

Methane, the main component in natural gas, is a potent greenhouse gas and contributes to climate change when it leaks from drilling sites and pipelines. In 2016, under President Obama, the Bureau of Land Management implemented rules that would limit leaking and other pollution associated with the production of natural gas on public lands. Not only are these measures good for the climate, but they also encourage companies not to waste natural resources. However, President Trump and Secretary of the Interior Zinke are considering rolling back these common sense rules.

This week, take action on climate by submitting a public comment to the Bureau of Land Management opposing weakening or rescinding these rules.
