Join the Fight Against Coal

Find out if there’s a coal plant near your community and help Beyond Coal’s fight to push it to retirement.

The Nanticoke Generation Station in Ontario, once the largest coal-fired power plant in the world, was demolished last week. In its place, a solar power array is planned. This is the kind of progress we need to see to transition away from fossil fuels and fight climate change.

However, there are still many coal plants that need to go. The Beyond Coal campaign has targeted 287 coal plants in Europe and 262 coal plants in the U.S. that it’s fighting to close.

This week, find out if there’s a coal plant near your community and help Beyond Coal’s fight to push these plants into retirement. We have cleaner options that will result in cleaner air locally and less warming globally.
