Ask Your Representative in Washington to Join the Climate Solutions Caucus

Support this bipartisan effort in the U.S. House of Representatives to solve climate change.

In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, it’s clearer than ever that we need Congress to face the challenge of climate change head-on.  While climate cannot account for any specific storm, it’s undeniable that a warmer, wetter world plays a role in intensifying storms like Harvey.

Right now, the House of Representatives has a caucus that’s made of 26 Republicans and 26 Democrats, working together to try to shift the market away from the greenhouse gases causing climate change. But for them to be successful, we need more members of the House to participate. Ask Mark Reynolds, the executive director of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, who wondered if members of the Texas delegation will now be ready to take their own seats at the table.

This week, act on climate change by urging your Representative to join the Climate Solutions Caucus. If he or she is already a member, send a thank you!
